Proudly Pride

The Old Kent Barn is a company, team and group of individuals that champion and believe love is love. To love and feel loved is one of the most precious feelings we get to experience in our lives. We’ve been fortunate to look after so much love and witness love of all kinds, and love for lifetimes.

We’re proudly pride how we look after our LGBQT+ couples.

Dedicated planning formats, inclusive terminology and offering choices throughout the day, from onsite preparations together, or a choice to prepare separately and include an element of surprise, you’ll have dedicated coordinators for you both, ensuring you have a wonderfully smooth morning before your ceremony.

Choose to walk the aisle together or with your own song and entrance, we’ll be there to support you at every step. It’s important that your wedding is a day for you both, including your family and friends and celebrating your commitment to each other.

Real Wedding – Real Love – Mabel & Claire

Morning preparations began with Claire, Mabel arriving soon after and settled into her room for preparations.

The barn looked beautiful with a palette of pinks, blue and greenery styling with fresh florals and a beautiful 3 tier wedding cake.

Coordinators supported each dressing room, assisting with dressing, their glam teams applying finishing touches.

Family and friends arrived ready to celebrate their union as heartfelt first look moments took place before the ceremony began.

Each Bride walked the aisle with a specially selected song and supported by their wedding parties. The look of love as they were reunited, and the ceremony began.

A beautiful ceremony, celebrating their love and commitment.

Officially wife and wife, they stepped into a blizzard of white confetti as they newlyweds made their way down the aisle together, cue giggles of joy and happiness.

Pimms and Prosecco greeted the couple and their guests to enjoy on the lawns in the Spring sunshine as delicious canapes were served from The Old Kent Barn Kitchen.

Family and couple portraits during post ceremony celebrations before the brides were cheered into the room and seated for dinner. A 3-course menu was served, followed by speeches that tickled all.

As the sun set on a wonderful day so far, Claire and Mabel stepped into the glowing sunlight and captured beautiful portraits.

As they re-entered the barn, they were roared onto the floor for their First Dance.

Photobooth fun and dance floor action followed, before the happy couple stepped into the twilight and let love sparkle.

They completed their day, with magical moments in the barn’s illuminated gardens.

We are very much enjoying married life. We also wanted to express how thankful we are to you and your team on our big day. Everyone commented on how well the day ran, how beautiful the venue was, and we have both got lots of ‘best wedding ever’ comments!
