Claire and Will Weedon
Claire and Will, the Managing Partners, were the first to hold their wedding reception at the Barn back in September 2005. It seemed like the perfect venue for a wedding so together with Claire's parents they started the business the following year. After 10 years and over 700 married couples, Will and Claire couldn't imagine doing anything else.
4 Wedding Coordinators are on hand and all work closely with our couples from their first visit till their wedding day. You can call on their support with all aspects leading up to your day and you can visit as often as you like! The passion and care they take with every single wedding is reflected in the overwhelming number of amazing comments from our couples and their guests.
The Kitchen Team
Led by Head Chef, James Crank, the Kitchen Team are highly trained, dedicated chefs whose passion shines through with every element on which they work. Fantastic, well sourced ingredients and prepared and cooked with care, love and attention.
On his journey to us at The Old Kent Barn James Crank has worked in some fantastic kitchens from Leeds Castle’s banqueting kitchen to Chapel Down in Tenterden then to Knightsbridge to work for Marcus Waring…Then back again to Kent to work at The Swan in West Mailing.
Service and Bar Staff
The service and bar staff are well trained, friendly individuals who maintain the high standards set by the venue at all times. They are always willing to help and remain the major reason we get so many compliments about staff on the day.
The Grounds Staff
The grounds team are responsible for the beautiful gardens at the Barn and general maintenance around the grounds. They take pride in their work and are always looking for ways to improve the standards of the venue year on year. Pictured above is recent work to repair and resurface all the accessible paths around the grounds.
